On the Road
Occasionally I'll get asked how far I travel to do a show. The easy answer is "How far do you want me to travel?" I've performed for corporations, fairs, festivals and other events in most states. Being located right in the middle of the country doesn't hurt. From Yakima to Tallahassee and from San Antonio to Bismarck...and just about every town in between. I've performed in gorgeous theaters and on the back of flatbed trucks. I've been put up in lavish suites and I've shared a room with a fire-eater.
If I need to fly to a location, it's fortunate that most of my equipment and props can either be packed in my luggage or sent on ahead. I do have a few funny stories about being detained by the TSA and questioned about some unusual items in my carry on. One time I even had to perform the trick for the officers. They got a kick out of it and I got clearance to board my plane to Seattle.
Fortunately, most of my bookings are within easy driving distance of Omaha. Chicago, Denver, Kansas City, St. Louis, Des Moines and Minneapolis/St. Paul are just a few of the major cities within reasonable driving distance from Omaha. But don't worry if your city isn't on that list. If you want me for your event, I'll find a way to get there.
